Before You Delete
This action is permanent and cannot be undone
Once you delete your account, all your data — invoices, customers, payment records, and settings — will be permanently removed from our servers. There is no recovery option.
Before deleting, consider these alternatives:
- Export or screenshot any invoices or customer records you want to keep.
- If you have an active Premium subscription, cancel it first via the App Store or Google Play to avoid further charges.
- If you are having trouble with the app, our support team can often help — email support@payprompt.app before deleting.
How to Delete Your Account
Account deletion is done directly inside the PayPrompt app. Follow these steps:
Open the PayPrompt app
Launch the PayPrompt app on your mobile device.
Go to Settings
Tap the settings icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Find "Delete Account"
Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap "Delete Account".
Confirm deletion
Read the confirmation prompt carefully, then confirm to permanently delete your account.
What Gets Deleted
When you confirm account deletion, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems:
- Your user profile — name, email address, and password hash
- Business information, settings, logo, and preferences
- All invoices and invoice line items
- Customer contact information and records
- Payment records and receipts
- Reminder logs and notification history
- Subscription and usage data
- Product analytics events linked to your account
Data from third-party providers (e.g. RevenueCat subscription records, app store purchase history) may be retained by those providers under their own data policies. We have no control over data held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat after your account is deleted.
Data Retention
- All personal account data is deleted immediately upon confirmation.
- Financial records (invoices, payments) may be retained in anonymised form for up to 90 days for tax and accounting audit purposes, as required by law.
- Anonymised or aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for product improvement purposes.
- Server access logs (IP address, timestamps) held by our infrastructure providers may be retained for up to 90 days per their standard policies.
